With a passion for transforming spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments, Katie Kottke is a distinguished interior designer known for her unique and innovative approach to interior design.
KATIE KOTTKE
Katie is the founder and principal designer for Katie Kottke Interiors. After growing up in Winona, MN, Katie and her husband, Kevin, fell in love with the Brainerd Lakes area and made the move to Nisswa, MN back in 2010. Prior to moving to this area, Katie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor's in Consumer Science - Retail, a Certificate in Textile Science and main coursework in Interior Design, Drafting/CAD, and Art History.
Over the past 20 years, Katie has had the great pleasure of working in positions ranging from retail management, furniture and bedding design and production, marketing, and interior design. Katie's life and career experiences have given her the unique ability and gift of turning houses into homes her clients love. Katie has a sophisticated style that is both classic and timeless. Katie's goal is to learn about her client's wants and expectations in order to create and design a home that reflects their personal style and is a home they will love for years to come. Katie loves what she does and it shows in each and every one of her designs.

KEVIN KOTTKE
The Owner and Logistics Coordinator of Katie Kottke Interiors, Kevin brings operational precision to every project. With a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of organization, he ensures that each design comes to life seamlessly—from initial concept to final installation. His ability to manage timelines and oversee logistics allows clients to enjoy a smooth and stress-free experience.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing and exploring nature. He values quality time with family and embraces a balanced lifestyle that fuels both personal happiness and professional success.

MINDY SEROCKI
As a Design Assistant and Project Coordinator, Mindy gets to blend creativity with organization every day—supporting interior design projects from concept to completion. She loves being the person who keeps things moving, solves problems on the fly, and helps bring beautiful spaces to life.
When the workday wraps up, you’ll almost always find her outdoors. Living in the Brainerd Lakes Area means lake days, bonfires, and spontaneous adventures with family and friends are just part of her everyday rhythm. She truly loves the life she has built here, surrounded by nature and the people who matter most.
